Volunteer Fair Returns This January

For Northaven campus residents, January marks an important and exciting tradition: choosing a volunteer role for the year ahead. With more than 80 volunteer opportunities available across campus, finding the right fit can feel overwhelming—so we make it easy with our annual Volunteer Fair.

This year’s Volunteer Fair will take place on Friday, January 30, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Come for the Information—Stay for the Snacks

In addition to learning about volunteer opportunities, attendees can enjoy an array of scrumptious snacks and a fine selection of beverages, including beer and wine. Those “in the know” often eat lightly at lunch—or skip it altogether—because the snacks are more than enough on their own!

There’s a Role for Everyone

Volunteers at the fair will be on hand to talk with residents about the many ways to get involved. Whether you’re shy or outgoing, a social butterfly or a lone wolf, there’s a volunteer role that fits your interests and comfort level. Every opportunity plays a part in making Northaven a better place to live, and every contribution matters.

New This Year: Raffle Prizes!

New for this year’s fair, the NRC Leadership Team is offering raffle prizes to residents who attend and take time to chat with a volunteer about the possibilities. One $50 gift card and two $25 gift cards will be awarded. Stop by the fair to learn more about how to enter!

Experienced Volunteers Needed

Have you attended the Volunteer Fair in the past? Would you like to be one of the friendly faces helping your neighbors discover the fun and rewarding possibilities of volunteering at Northaven?

If so, please consider signing up on the Volunteer Fair sign-up sheet, located where the clipboards live. We’re looking for experienced volunteers who can take a little time to share what they know and help others find their place.

Thank you for helping make our community stronger—one volunteer at a time.
