Resident Corner: Sharing, Sunshine, and Springtime Spirit

The sun is shining, and so is the Northaven community! With beautiful weather lifting our spirits, it's a great time to reflect on the generosity, connection, and care that make Northaven feel like home.

A heartfelt reminder from our Resident Council: the Food Pantry is here for everyone. Whether it’s a week-long need or just a jar of peanut butter to get you through the day, the pantry is a resource for all of us—no questions asked. Simply drop a note in the box outside Ginger’s office or speak with Carolyn, Marian, or Mike, and they’ll make sure you get what you need.

We’re also opening the Food Pantry to residents of Northaven West—welcome! Keep an eye out for a flyer with more details soon.

Other recent highlights include a delicious Easter celebration, complete with leg of lamb, salmon, and carrot cake thanks to Chris and the kitchen team. And don’t forget the weekly movie nights—Joseph curates a great lineup, with plenty of snacks (or BYO popcorn and soda!).

Looking ahead, Friday’s forecast promises more sunshine—perfect for those participating in our community’s peaceful stand for democracy at 5th and Northgate Way.
