We’d like to share two upcoming learning opportunities in the community that focus on brain health and dementia care. Both events are free making them easy options to explore on your own or with a friend.
Please note that these are not Northaven-sponsored group outings, but rather individual opportunities you may wish to attend independently.
Civic Coffee: Brain Health and Community Connection
Join Age Friendly Seattle and the Seattle Public Library for an upcoming Civic Coffee event at the Northgate Community Center, just a few blocks away.
Date: Tuesday, January 27
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Northgate Community Center
This event will feature a panel discussion on brain health, along with refreshments, light food, and the chance to connect with neighbors. Free and no registration required.
A Conversation on the Future of Dementia Care
On Thursday, January 22, from 1:00–2:30 p.m., Dr. John Zeisel will be speaking at the Frye Art Museum, 704 Terry Ave, Seattle, WA 98104, about the future of dementia care. A reception will follow the talk.
Advanced registration is required. To register, please call 206-432-8265.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from a leading voice in the field and learn more about evolving approaches to dementia care.
We hope these opportunities spark your curiosity and provide meaningful learning experiences beyond Northaven.
