Join Us May 14 for Dementia Friends Washington at Northaven

We hope you’ll join us at Northaven on Wednesday, May 14, for a special day of Dementia Friends Washington information sessions. We’ll be offering three sessions at 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, so there are plenty of chances to attend.

These sessions are designed to help us better understand what dementia is, how to recognize it, and how to support people living with dementia with greater compassion and awareness.

What Is Dementia Friends Washington?

Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think, talk, and act when it comes to dementia. The program began with the Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom and is growing quickly here in the United States. In Washington State, it is overseen by the University of Washington Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center.

We’re also pleased to welcome Katie Zeitler, who helps lead the growth of the Dementia Friends program in Washington, as our presenter.

Bring Friends and Family

This is a wonderful opportunity not just for residents, but for friends and family as well. We would love for you to invite others to join you for one of these meaningful and informative sessions. The more we understand dementia, the better we can support those around us and help create a more informed, compassionate community.

If you have questions, please reach out to Katie Briscoe or Gordon T.

We hope to see you there.
