With federal and state benefits temporarily on hold, many of our resident’s face uncertainty when it comes to accessing fresh food and essential pantry items. To help fill this gap, Northaven created Free Market Day, a special event that brings groceries and necessities directly to our community.
Our recent Free Market Day was a remarkable success. Residents left with fresh produce, dairy, bread, and pantry staples, and the atmosphere was full of warmth and gratitude. The event showed us how much impact one day of community support can have, providing not just food but also comfort, dignity, and a meaningful sense of connection.

Because the need is ongoing, we’re hosting another Free Market Day on Thursday, November 20, just before Thanksgiving. To make this event as meaningful as possible, we are seeking cash donations or fresh food contributions—everything from fruits and vegetables to bread and dairy products. Every donation goes directly to residents in need, ensuring that everyone in our community can enjoy a safe, nourishing holiday season.
If you’d like to help, please reach out by Friday, November 15, so we can coordinate donations and logistics ahead of time.

Your support can make an immediate and lasting difference. By contributing to Free Market Day, you’re helping Northaven residents thrive—providing more than just food; you’re providing care, comfort, and the reassurance that they are not alone this holiday season.
