About the Award

Established in 2010, the Robert and Joyce Mays Award honors the remarkable legacy of Rev. Robert (Bob) Mays and his wife, Joyce, whose extraordinary faith and dedication inspired the creation of Northaven Retirement and Assisted Living by the Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren. Lifelong champions of Northaven, the Mays served as devoted leaders, generous donors, and tireless advocates for compassion, service, and community.

Presented annually by the Northaven Board of Trustees, this award recognizes individuals, couples, or organizations whose work and commitment further the mission of Northaven Independent and Assisted Living—carrying forward the spirit and vision of the Mays.
