A Night to Remember: The 2025 Northaven Gala

On Friday, May 30th, the Northaven community gathered for a truly memorable evening at Northaven Senior Living. With over 100 guests in attendance, the 2025 Northaven Gala brought together friends, supporters, and neighbors to celebrate our mission, reflect on our impact, and raise more than $80,000 in support of high-quality, affordable housing and care for older adults.
From the warm welcomes to the final toast, the atmosphere was one of connection, generosity, and purpose. The evening featured a moving program, a live auction, and heartfelt conversations that reminded us all why Northaven’s mission matters so deeply.
A Moment We Won’t Forget
The undeniable highlight of the night came when Angela Handley, a Northaven resident, stepped up to the microphone. In a speech that brought many in the room close to tears, Angela spoke candidly about her journey, what it means to live at Northaven, and the peace of mind and dignity she experiences every day.
Her words were powerful, deeply personal, and full of gratitude, reminding everyone in attendance exactly why they were there. It was a moment of profound connection that will stay with us for a long time.
A Night of Community and Celebration

Gee Scott, whose warmth and charisma as our emcee brought energy and heart to the event
A live performance by Michael Powers, whose smooth guitar melodies provided the perfect musical backdrop
A celebration of Kristin Ryan, this year’s Mays Award recipient, recognized for her unwavering dedication to the Northaven community
A lively live auction, where guests bid enthusiastically on curated experiences and one-of-a-kind items—all in support of Northaven’s future
Guests mingled over beverages and bites, shared stories, and helped raise critical funds that will support projects like the replacement of aging heat pumps in our Assisted Living building, ensuring our residents stay comfortable year-round.
