Hockey season is here—and so is the return of one of our favorite community partnerships!
We’re thrilled to share that ReWA (Refugee Women’s Alliance) is teaming up once again with the One Roof Foundation and our hometown heroes, the Seattle Kraken, to launch the 5th year of their incredible ice-skating program.
Starting October 8, 2025, students from five local schools will lace up their skates and hit the ice at the Kraken Community Iceplex (KCI) every Wednesday morning for weekly skating sessions. It’s pure joy to watch—kids taking their first glide across the ice, full of laughter, focus, and that unmistakable Kraken spirit.

Northaven is proud to support this inspiring program, and we’re inviting volunteers to be part of the action! There will be three sessions each Wednesday between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM, and volunteers are welcome to help out—or just come cheer the students on.
All volunteers will need to complete a background check form (available upon request). It’s an uplifting way to give back, connect with the community, and share in the fun of a new Kraken season.
Let’s bring that same spirit of teamwork and energy from the rink to our neighborhood—showing these young skaters what it means to be part of a caring, connected Seattle community.
