Resident Artists Bring Color, Creativity, and Generosity to Northaven

If you have walked through the Lobby recently, you may have noticed something new brightening the west wall: the Northaven Community Art Gallery. Launched earlier this year, the gallery is currently curated by Angela H., who has brought together more than ten resident artists to share their work on a rotating basis. The first featured artist was Katherine O., whose work was displayed for three months and celebrated with artist remarks and a wine reception.

Then, in a wonderful Northaven twist, several resident artists agreed to donate pieces to this year’s Gala auction to help raise funds for Northaven. On April 30, the gallery wall was filled with 16 pieces of art in a beautiful range of styles. Just over a week later, at the Hearts of Northaven 2026 Gala on May 8, every piece was sold. The contributing artists included Annie C., Gabriel D., Judith D., Angela H., Linda K., Katherine O., and Donna T.

It was a proud and meaningful moment to see Gala guests engage with the artwork, learn more about the artists behind each piece, and bid on resident creations. The gallery became more than a display of talent; it became a joyful example of residents contributing to the “art of fundraising.”

Thanks to the generosity of the artists and the enthusiasm of Gala attendees, this special portion of the evening raised $1,095 for Northaven.

A heartfelt thank you to each donating artist, and to Angela H. for her leadership, care, and creativity in bringing the gallery to life.

And now, the next featured artist is on display. Megan H.’s work is currently featured in the Northaven Community Art Gallery, so be sure to stop by the Lobby and take a look. The new exhibit just went up, and it is well worth a visit.
