Introducing the North 40: A New(ish) Outdoor Space at Northaven

We’re excited to share a first look at the North 40—a beautifully reimagined outdoor space designed to bring people of all ages together. Located just north of Northaven, this vibrant new multi-use greenspace will serve as a shared backyard for Northaven residents, families in the surrounding community, and our neighbors at ReWA.

Highlights of the design include:

• A spacious lawn, perfect for gatherings and community events

• A patio area for relaxing, conversation, and shared meals

• A children’s play area with an adjacent watching patio for caregivers

• Raised garden beds, public pathways, and integrated seating throughout

• A welcoming environment that encourages connection and intergenerational engagement

  
  

The North 40 reflects our ongoing commitment to creating spaces where older adults remain at the heart of community life. What was once an underutilized area will soon become a dynamic, multi-purpose gathering place for years to come.
