At Northaven, we believe fresh perspectives bring new energy to our work, and this summer we’re thrilled to welcome two outstanding interns who are already making their mark.
Lucas Pangelinan (above), from Seattle University, and Avery Romero (below), from Seattle Pacific University, have joined us as our summer finance interns. From the very first day, both brought an impressive level of professionalism, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. It’s clear they aren’t just here to gain experience — they’re here to contribute in meaningful ways.

Finance may not always be the most glamorous side of senior living, but it’s the backbone of keeping our community strong, sustainable, and thriving. Lucas and Avery have stepped right into this work with enthusiasm, showing a genuine interest in learning not just the technical skills of accounting and financial management, but also how finance connects to the bigger mission of serving residents and building community.
We’ve already seen how their energy sparks great conversations with our staff, how their thoughtful questions lead to deeper understanding, and how their willingness to dive into real projects is adding value across the board.
We know internships are about growth, discovery, and the start of a career journey. For Lucas and Avery, this is just the beginning of a bright future ahead, and we’re grateful to be part of their story. We can’t wait to watch them continue to grow, contribute, and shine throughout the summer.
Welcome to the team, Lucas and Avery — we’re lucky to have you both!
