Dance Hall Brings Music, Movement, and Joy to Northaven

Looking for a fun way to get moving, enjoy great music, and share some laughter with friends? Dance Hall at Northaven is the perfect midweek pick-me-up.

Held every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Harbor Room, Dance Hall is a lively, welcoming program designed for everyone. The hour begins with a seated warmup to help get bodies moving comfortably and safely, then opens up into free-form dancing, line dance routines, and more. It is a wonderful chance to enjoy music, express yourself, and have fun in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

One of the best things about Dance Hall is that everyone can participate. Whether you are dancing from a chair or wheelchair, holding onto a walker with one hand, or moving freely on two feet, there is a place for you on the dance floor. The spirit of the program is simple: we do not let anything stop us. Dance Hall is all about participation, enjoyment, and finding the joy of movement in whatever way works best for each person.

In addition to dancing, participants can also join in the rhythm with a variety of percussion instruments, adding even more energy and fun to the experience. It is not just about steps and routines — it is about music, creativity, connection, and enjoying the moment together.

Programs like Dance Hall help make Northaven such a vibrant community. They bring residents together, encourage movement and self-expression, and create space for fun, friendship, and a little bit of play in the middle of the week. Whether you are an experienced dancer or someone who just wants to tap a toe and enjoy the music, you will be welcomed with open arms.

A special thank-you goes to hosts DJ Tim and Linda “K”, who help make this program such an enjoyable part of life at Northaven. So come join the fun, move to the music, and see why Dance Hall has become such a joyful weekly tradition at Northaven.
