Clear Some Space: Northaven’s 2nd Annual Dump It Day!
Give unwanted items a send-off on September 30—with a little help from Lakeside School volunteers.
Ready to reclaim some space in your apartment? Northaven’s 2nd Annual Dump It Day returns Wednesday, September 30, making it easier to clear out clutter and say goodbye to items you no longer need. The truck will be back to haul away garbage and unwanted items, and Lakeside School volunteers will lend a hand with collection beginning at 10 a.m.
Grab a Bag and Get Started
Pick up 50-gallon trash bags at the front desk, fill them with unwanted items approved for collection, and place the bags outside your apartment door for volunteers to collect.
Have something that won’t fit in a bag? Larger items can be removed directly from your apartment, but you must register in advance on the sign-up board so help can be arranged.
What Can Go?
In addition to everyday trash, items accepted for removal include:
Appliances
TVs
Printers
Electronics
Mattresses
Other large unwanted items
Please Keep Hazardous Materials Out
Batteries, chemicals, and other hazardous materials are not permitted. Please do not put these items in collection bags or outside your door for pickup.
A little clearing out can make a big difference. Pick up your bags, sign up for any large-item removal, and get ready for a little more breathing room at home. Thank you to the Lakeside School volunteers for helping make it happen!
