Access to Care Starts with Getting There Safely

Help us replace our medical transport van so Northaven residents can reach the care they need.

Our medical transport van has been a lifeline for Northaven residents who no longer drive or need assistance getting in and out of vehicles safely. For years, it faithfully carried residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and treatments across Seattle.

Now it’s broken down and can no longer transport our residents.

After many years of service, the van has finally given out. Without it, residents are missing critical medical appointments. Staff are scrambling to coordinate taxis or borrow vehicles, and the stress falls hardest on those who depend on us most for healthcare access.

The Reality of Transportation Barriers

For older adults who can no longer drive, transportation isn’t a convenience—it’s essential to health and independence. Without reliable transport, a routine doctor’s visit becomes a logistical challenge. A therapy session gets postponed. Preventive care gets delayed.

What We Need

A reliable, accessible van equipped for senior transport—one that starts every time, handles Seattle hills and weather, and includes the safety features our residents need: non-slip flooring, proper lighting, and easy entry.

This isn’t about luxury. It’s about dignity, safety, and ensuring every Northaven resident can access the healthcare they need without added stress or barriers.

How You Can Help

Your gift will help us replace our broken-down vehicle and restore reliable medical transportation for our community. You’ll provide peace of mind to residents who depend on us, families who trust us, and staff who work hard every day to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Thank you for keeping Northaven and our residents moving forward.
